| Abstract | The Exposition of the Experimental Research in Social Communication has important alterations such as: (a) this year the competition between undergraduate students will be in each Brazilian region first, then the first winner of each region will be in the national competition and also, (b) this year, all the process involved in the competition will be in digital environment. This context demanded the implementation of a management system having taken care of, mainly, the questions of decentralized and on-line peer review, transparency of the process, digital preservation of the material submitted and public access to them. This paper describes the results of the comparative study between the software SEER/OJS, Dici/Eprints and SOAC/OCS, in order to identify if they can be useful for this competition. Based on the results of the analysis of each software - using the technological criteria applied to the relative systems and criteria to the functionalities and analyzed aggregate services ‐ the conclusion was that the ideal system for Expocom 2007 should integrate some aspects of each one of them: the functionality and management model of the SEER/OJS, the system of storage and documents formats of the Dici/Eprints and the model of the peer review process of the SOAC/OCS. |
