| Abstract | And the main food for baby is the first breastfeeding, particularly Exclusive breastfeeding can not be replaced by any milk remember that the composition of breastmilk is the ideal fit and needs a baby every time and contains immune substances that are important to prevent the occurrence of disease. Often the mother can not breastfed their children to the well is caused by many factors. Based on data in Binjai City Health Office showed that of the eight main health number of babies who are given the most Exclusive breastfeeding is low in the area of workplace Estate Binjai health of 47.8%. Type of research is the survey research is descriptive analytical. Data is collected primary data and secondary data. Research was conducted in the area of workplace Estate Binjai health in March year 2009. Goal of this research is to determine factors associated with the Exclusive breastfeeding in the area of workplace Estate Binjai health Year 2009. The sample is all mothers who have babies aged 6-12 months in March as many as 80 people. Results of research show that factors associated with the Exclusive breastfeeding is maternal age factors (p = 0.001), educational factors (p = 0.003), job factors (p = 0.000), parity factors (p = 0.001), knowledge of factors ( p = 0.004), attitude factors (p = 0.000). Recommended for Health Workers in health Binjai Estate to be more active in providing support and counseling to the community about the importance of giving Exclusive breastfeeding, for the City Health Office Binjai expected more active in providing the motivation of health workers, especially in Estate Binjai health, and for Estate Binjai City Government can socialize and efforts in implementing the Care and Join Clinic provides Laktasi, Corner Laktasi and the like in the hospital and maternity House in the City that Binjai every mother can breastfeed the baby as soon as possible. |
