| Abstract | Fluid structural interaction analysis has become an important part in the design process of different industry components like heat exchangers, IC engines etc, and other equipment subjected to flow induced vibrations. ANSYS is a commercial simulation environment and is able to accurately predict fluid structural interaction behavior numerically employing CFX-MFX coupling. This paper deals with the application of these modules to predict flow induced vibration in the tube of a heat exchanger. A complete 3D and a symmetric unit cell simulation of tube bundle is carried and temperature and fluid force effects are observed. [Abubakar Izhar, Arshad Hussain Qureshi and Shahab Khushnood.
