| Abstract | Our approach assumes that system development starts with requirements elicitation creating some textual use-case descriptions. In the analysis phase, use-cases are refined using sequences of collaboration diagrams illustrating the use-case execution step by step. These collaboration diagram strips outline basic conceptual ideas about the object structures employed by the desired application andhow these object structures are used to achieve the desired behavior. In the design phase, these sample scenarios are analyzed and detailed behavior specifications of the participating active objects are created.
