Abstract	Este trabalho apresenta a analise do coeficiente de desempenho (COP) de um resfriador ( chiller )de absorcao,gerador de agua gelada para equipamentos de climatizacao de ar condicionado em um edificio empresarial na cidade de Santos-SP. Os dados foram coletadosde forma continuadurante sete dias, utilizando umsistema de base de dados computadorizado,para obter as variaveis de operacaodos equipamentos. Foram calculadas as vazoes massicas, as energias removidas das correntes geladas, as energias fornecidas pelas correntes quentes e os rendimentos termicos. Os resultados mostraram que os valores do COP foram proximos aos ideais entre 1 e 2.Portanto, foi encontrado que o equipamento estava trabalhando satisfatoriamente. This work presents the analysis of the performance coefficient (COP) of an absorption chiller, a cold water generator for air-conditioning systems in a business building in the city of Santos-SP. The data was collected during seven days, using a computerized system of the company, to obtain the equipment variables. Mathematical calculations were applied to evaluate the mass flows, the energies removed from the icy currents, the energies provided by the hot currents and the thermal yields. The results showed that the values of the COP were close to the ideals between 1 and 2. Therefore, it demonstrated that the equipment was working satisfactorily.
