Abstract	Threat to the environment from the automotive industry so far been practically identified with the use of internal combustion engines to driver of cars. Increasing development of electric cars will consider the desirability of environment issues by these vehicles. Among the environmental aspects of the use of electric cars examined the problem of energy consumption during the use of cars. This paper presents the results of empirical research of the electric car on a chassis dynamometer in tests simulating the use of a vehicle driving in traffic conditions in cities. The general efficiency of the car was determined in a random conditions in the driving tests.
