| Abstract | CONCLUSIONS Radiation from a singleCTCA carries a measurable risk for cancer, and that risk varies greatly depending on the patient’s age and gender. This LAR may be negligible for an 80-year-old man, but not for a 20 yearold woman. Women are more sensitive to the effects of radiation both for breast and lung cancer. Dosereducing strategies, such as ECTCM, may reduce the LAR of cancer incidence from CTCA. |
