Abstract	This thesis aims to develop a proposal of a face recognition system that contributes tohuman trafficking control in Peru, for which it will showa backgroundof different solutions to this problem, and a theoretical framework based on related information from reliable sources, such as: the National Institute of Statistics and Information, the Ministry of the Interior, the Judiciary, the National Police of Peru, the Intersectoral Protocol for the prevention and prosecution of crime,and the protection, assistance to victims of Trafficking in Persons, among others. The current situationofhumantrafficking andits persecutionin the countrywill be shown as well as theoretical bases of artificial vision and face recognition with which the performanceof face recognition systems isunderstood. In addition, this research will showdevelopment of a proposed solution to automate the existing processes for the prosecution ofhumantrafficking for its implementation by theinvolvedsectors that wish to do so. The system will be developed using the XP(extreme programming) development methodology, since it is the most appropriate for work in pairs and performingthe programming and testing roles. This thesis presents anappliedtype ofresearch with an implementation design,for which we will takea sample of50 faces of people that aremissing oraccused of human trafficking obtained from the rewards system of theInternal Ministryand the Registry of Missing Latin Americans of the Organization of American States,only for the purposes of this investigationthis year in the city of Cusco,and the data that are accessible.
