| Abstract | The article is the result of studies performed in the Specialization Course in Social Politics and Pedagogical Processes in Social Service of the Federal University of Maranhão-UFMA. It deals with the pedagogical dimension of the social worker in the educational politics and it proposes to analyze work experiences of social workers in the city of São Luís in this area. It talks briefly about the educational politics in Brazil and also in Maranhão, and after this, it analyzes how the pedagogical dimension of the work of social workers expresses itself in two educational institutions of São Luís, reflecting about the challenges of the implementation of the Ethical and Political Project of the Social Service. |
