| Abstract | At the time of this writing, Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft’s latest handheld device, which stands as a direct competitor to Apple’s iPhone platform (as well as other popular handhelds). From a .NET programmer’s point of view, building applications for Windows Phone 7 is a very enticing proposition, as the native toolkit is in fact based on Silverlight!1 Given this fact, you can build a Windows Phone 7 application using C#, VB, XAML, Visual Studio 2010, Expression Blend, and the same general programming model as you would use when building a WPF or web-centric Silverlight application. |
