Abstract	Por la importancia de las especies exoticas en las invasiones biologicas a nivel mundial y del peso que esta tomando el tema como factor de degradacion ambiental y de perdida de la biodiversidad, se realizo el estudio de las especies invasoras presentes en el area del Jardin Botanico de Pinar del Rio, en el periodo enero 2011 a septiembre 2011. Se presenta la lista de las principales especies invasoras y su incidencia en diferentes areas del centro, con la intencion de impulsar los trabajos de investigacion en esta linea en los diferentes Jardines Botanicos de Cuba, hasta el momento aun escasos. Como resultado de ello, se identifican 31 especies exoticas invasoras, lo cual representa el 5% del total de especies presentes en el centro. Las areas de mayor presencia de estas especies dentro del Jardin Botanico son el sendero de plantas dicotiledoneas y el area denominada plantas forestales, encontrandose 5 de las especies invasoras catalogadas como las mas agresivas para Cuba. It is presented the list of the main invasive species and their incidence in different areas of the center, with the intention of impelling the investigation works in this line in the different Botanical Gardens of Cuba, until the moment even scarce. As a result of it, 31 exotic and invasive species are identified, which represents 5% of the total of present species in the center. The areas of bigger presence of these species inside the Botanical Garden are the path of dicotyledonous plants and the area denominated Forest plants, being 5 of the invasive species classified as the most aggressive for Cuba.
