Abstract	In order to find solutions to the enormous health and environmental problems that the planet suffers, it is necessary to mobilize all the actors to face the challenge and jointly formulate the answers to these problems. The objective is to design an environmental education strategy to mitigate the proliferation of the Aedes aegypti mosquito in the health area of the Joaquin Albarran Polyclinic in the Centro Habana municipality. Group interviews and brainstorming were conducted, which allowed to obtain and analyze the external and internal forces in the community, which allowed to identify the positive and negative elements inside and outside the community related to the process of public health and environmental education, for the mitigation of Aedes aegypti mosquito proliferation. The SWOT matrix was applied to obtain a general perspective of the strategic situation. The designed strategy contributes to the improvement of health and environmental education to face the environmental problems in the community in a coordinated and systemic way, on solid theoretical bases and with a strong scientific basis. The determination of the strategic actions in this work, determines the essential patterns to establish the conditions, that, in the order of the communication, the coordination between the different levels and the creation of a favorable climate, among others, lay the foundations for a new community vision for confronting the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
