| Abstract | Nowadays, technology has facilitated the routine activities, ie they were produced and marketed mobile phones, computers, pen drives among others, thus facilitating the lives of individuals, providing comfort and convenience. Though, the large consumption of these products is interfering with the standards and the improper disposal of electronic waste, which can cause damage to the health of the human population and the environment. The overall objective of this research is to check the current status of the collection and disposal of electronic waste in the municipality of São Gabriel / RS. The methodology used in this study was based on research of related aspects, regarding the analysis of the municipality about collecting or no waste. Based on the evidence presented, it was found that there is significant production of electric and electronic waste in the municipality of São Gabriel, but there is no awareness that production. There are not proposals gathering of this waste and recycling and what is left to do is store in makeshift deposits or deposit in the open. |
