| Abstract | Resumo Apesar do Brasil, em termos economicos mostrar vigor e ser considerado um dos paises que devem liderar o mundo em termos economicos nas proximas decadas, fazendo parte do BRIC, grupo de nacoes emergentes, em termos de contribuicoes sob o aspecto cientifico, o Brasil tem participacao pouco expressiva no cenario mundial. O objetivo da pesquisa e descobrir quais sao as caracteristicas dos formularios de avaliacao utilizados em periodicos nacionais na area de Contabilidade e Financas e, a partir desse ponto, compara-los entre si. A pesquisa foi realizada em quatro etapas: descrever dos passos que levaram a definicao da amostra envolvendo o estudo; foram estabelecidos os periodicos a serem avaliados e as restricoes da pesquisa; definir os criterios de avaliacao dos periodicos selecionados; e analisar os periodicos de acordo com os criterios definidos. ABSTRACT Although Brazil, in economic terms to show force and be considered one of the countries must lead the world in the next few decades as part of the BRIC group of emerging nations in terms of contributions in the scientific aspect, Brazil has a stake not significant on the world stage. The purpose of this research is to discover what are the characteristics of the evaluation forms used in national journals in the field of Accounting and Finance, and from that point and compare them with each other. The survey was conducted in four steps: describe the steps that led to the setting involving the study sample, were established journals to be evaluated and the constraints of the research, defining the criteria for evaluation of selected journals and to analyze the journals according to the criteria.
