| Abstract | The first years of the Mexican Revolution were warm and excitedly followed by the anarchists of the Brazilian Republic. The workers of these journals interpreted the Mexican revolutionary process as a libertarian fight and as the first stage for a mythical World Revolution. In this article, based on some texts published by the Brazilian workers’ press, a letter and an article by Astrojildo Pereira, it will be analyzed the turning points of the anarchist narrative into a communist perspective, and will also be elucidated how its interpretation of the Mexican Revolution fitted in with the wishes for social changes, present both in the anarchist and communist doctrines. Key-words: Mexican Revolution, Workers’ Press, Astrojildo Pereira. A trajetoria de Astrojildo Pereira se confunde com a propria historia do movimento operario do Brasil. Nascido em Rio Bonito, no Rio de Janeiro em 08 de outubro de 1890, Astrojildo foi um importante militante anarquista, e assim como Ricardo Flores Magon, importante intelectual anarquista do Mexico, aderiu as doutrinas libertarias apos a leitura do 1 UNESP/Univ.
