| Abstract | FAMILY CONTRIBUTION TO THE INCLUSION POSSIBILITIES OF THE CHILDREN WITH THE DOWN SYNDROME This study approaches the theme : “ Family Contribution to the Inclusion Possibilities of the Children with the Down Syndrome“. It is a research with characteristic of qualitative investigation and methodological approach of study of case.The study includes three families that have children with the Down Syndrome , from three to five year old, from the child education class , at the Municipal Teaching network in Santa MariaRS. The study has the aim of analysing the family contribution to the inclusion possibilities of the children with the Down Syndrome .The data search happened by means of the construction of the memory of the life.Through the data comprehension was possible to observe the multiple relationships in the family groups, trying to close up the descriptions made by the parents and the considerations identified in the theorethical studies that substantiate the work.The content described in the speech followed the sequence to observation and register:relationship to the organizing structure of the family and first reaction in the birth of the child with the Down Syndrome ,alternatives found by the family to the acception and overcome of the trauma of having a child with the Down Syndrome, attitudes in the situation of having a child with the Down Syndrome and the relationship between the parents attitudes and the cognitive characteristics of the children with the Down Syndrome.From the data interpretation one understands that the families have their particulars to contribute to the inclusion possibility of the children with the Down Syndrome.Therefore it seems important that the school adopts measures of welcome not just for the children with the Down Syndrome but |
