| Abstract | The reflectivity reduces the silicon solar cells efficiency, and dielectric coatings with appropriate refractive index and thickness are usually used to minimize this reflectivity. Hence, TiO2/SiO2 multilayers on crystalline silicon were optimized and elaborated, where SiO2 acts passivating the Si surface. In the numeric optimization was considered the structure MgF2glass-TiO2SiO2Si, the AM0 solar spectrum, and a typical crystalline silicon solar cell spectral response, keeping in mind the space application of these devices. To obtain the TiO2/SiO2 double layer, titanium films were deposited in a vacuum chamber and then the sample was annealed in oxygen at high temperatures. Results of the optical characterization are presented. |
