Abstract	El texto aborda el itinerario de los estudios sobre religion en la actual region norte oriental. Desde la dinamica nacional, se exponen las particularidades de estos enfoques, surgidos desde las instituciones academicas o culturales de la region. Las tematicas, publicaciones y perspectivas de libros y tesis muestran el desarrollo creciente de esta linea de investigacion en el norte oriental de Cuba y sus potencialidades para la ensenanza de la Antropologia en nuestras universidades. De igual modo, se plantean los principales retos y lagunas epistemicas-culturales que las carreras que imparten Antropologia podrian aprovechar en sus investigaciones y docencia. PALABRAS CLAVE: Historiografia; Religion; Educacion; Antropologia STUDIES ON RELIGION IN THE NORTH EAST OF CUBA: POTENTIAL IN THE TEACHING OF ANTHROPOLOGY ABSTRACT The paper deals with the itinerary of the studies on religion in the current North Eastern region. From the national dynamic, the peculiarities of these approaches, created from the academic and cultural institutions of the region, are presented. The themes, publications and books and theses prospects show the growing development of this line of investigation in the North East of Cuba and its potential for the teaching of anthropology in our universities. Likewise, the main challenges and epistemic cultural gaps are stated, of which the majors that have anthropology within their curriculum could make use for their investigations and teaching.
