| Abstract | Iron-nickel alloy pins were pretreated at 700°C and 500°C for 30 min in H2, and additionally heat-treated at 600°C for 30 min in N2 atmosphere, respectively. The oxide layers of these samples were compared with that of a non-preheated sample. Thin iron oxide layers on all samples were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and 57Fe conversion electron Mössbauer (CEM) spectrometry. The iron products of Fe3O4 and γ-Fe2O3 were determined among various heated samples. |
