| Abstract | The project presents an analysis and simulation of the thermal behavior, such as design phase of the CubeSat nanosatellite, for the space mission proposed by the Department of Energy Sciences and Mechanical, and the Department of Earth Sciences and Construction at the University of the Armed Forces Special ESPE. It was initially investigated the technical characteristics and design of the nanosatellite, the thermal parameters of the space environment and the processes of heat transfer that interacts in the system. Then, an analysis of the orbital mechanics from the orbital elements defined for a Low Earth Orbit LEO, and his position under a subsystem magnetic attitude control, with which it was, determined the orientation of the spacecraft with respect to the Sun, as a system of reference. After, is developing a simplified model in 3D of the prototype of the CubeSat, by means of the SolidWorks program, and the thermal simulation under conditions of steady state and transient, through the simulation software ANSYS Workbench. The program of computational simulation, allowed solving the differential equations on the model, under the theory of finite elements for the solution in the different scenarios. Finally, based on data from the temperature distribution obtained in the simulations, it is recommended the use of a thermal control system passive and active, with the purpose of ensuring that all the electrical components and the structure of the CubeSat, function properly in the temperature ranges intended by the manufacturer. |
