| Abstract | This study aims at modelling and simulating the mechanical and thermal behaviour of glass during a complete forming process (heating, shaping at high temperature, cooling). Glass is a non-grey purely absorbing material, thus a thermal model has to take in account radiative transfer. We first introduce the conceptual issue of the study, then we describe the experimental apparatus developed within our research laboratory. This appartus should allow us to validate experimentallly the digital results acquired through our modelling. It consists of a fusing furnace coupled with devices to measure temperature and displacement fields on the glass surface. We focus here on the description of the optical system for measuring transverse displacement using structured light. |
