Abstract	This research project sought to answer the question about the concepts which teachers of Institucion Educativa Byron Gaviria on sex education in the formation of children of 9-12 years. The project's overall objective Identify the concepts which teachers of Institucion Educativa Byron Gaviria for the teaching of sex education in children of 9-12 years. For the development of this research was based on the application of a survey of teachers of children of 9-12 years. The conceptual theoretical reference was guided by international technical guidance on sexuality education proposed by the UNESCO, Leonardo Romero from the Elements of sexuality and sex education and other studies on sexuality. It was found in this research that teachers have strengths and weaknesses with respect to different concepts, since they have more knowledge in some than in others. This research led to the conclusion that teachers have lack of legal information related to the sexuality of children. Lack of clarity on the laws and regulations that shelter the children in their sexual and reproductive lives. Teachers must know the laws, rights, codes that protect children and adolescents about their sexual development, so as not to violate and abuse your integrity, just as teachers have few reliable to advise and guide elements students about the times of fertility of women, this conceptual element is important that teachers are clear about what to orient properly to adolescents who may be initiating sexual activity and therefore pregnant.
