| Abstract | CHIAMENTI, Camilla. The Information and Communication Technology uses in the Nursing Course classroom teaching .Enferm. 2012. 106p. Dissertation (Master in Nursing) – PostGraduate Program in Nursing, Federal University of Rio Grande. The technology expansions has been transformed the society and specially the education over the years, with the inclusion of the information and communication Technology. So, it has been viewed the need of integrate these technologies into the educational process of nursing. In this way, it has been objectified to analyze how the implementation of ICT can interfere with the teachinglearning process of nursing classroom course. This is a qualitative research approach. That it was made in the School of Nursing, Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), specifically in the Subject of Nursing Assistance’s to Child and Adolescent. The project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee in the Area of Health under protocol n. 73/2010. With the intention of get over the objectives of the study, different strategies were developed, divided into three stages. First, an action research was realized, involving training to use the technology in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), to educational content production in the media. After it has implanted ICT in the subject using multimedia technology like audiovisual materials, power points illustrative, self-correctable exercises, activities to memorizing the contents, among others. All available in the Moodle platform. It is believed that the development of classes in the new format is an innovation for teaching practice in the School of Nursing looking for expand the interactive processes between teachers and students, as well as encourage creativity and facilitate learning. Finally, to analyze how the implementation of ICT can interfere with the process of teaching and learning in nursing classroom course we had the cooperation of 14 academics matriculated in the subject during the first semester of 2011 who participated in online forums and logbooks. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis technique and resulted in two categories: the ICT uses as a source of satisfaction to the academics Nursing, and the academics ́ deficit of satisfaction on the use of ICT. The results showed that this methodological approach promotes academic achievement and facilitating communication, increasing interactivity and approach the content with the professional reality, making the teaching dynamic, attractive and facilitative. However, some problems were found as a little extra time, the difficulty in accessing the AVA and the small number of computers in the academic place, adding the restriction in the schedule of the computer lab. All those things, have produced a deficit of satisfaction, but it is considered that those are able to reverse. So, us that are professionals whom work in the university we should appropriate the universe of AVA and give to the academics the digital literacy, the development of skills and competencies. In this way it is believed that the implementation of ICT in the educational process of nursing is extremely important, proving to be an important educational tool for the democratic education. |
