Abstract	The educational institutions work with a wide variety of chemical products and generate the same way, a huge diversity of waste materials. In the vast majority of universities, the management of waste generated in their routine activities is non-existent, and due to the lack of a supervisory body, the inappropriate disposal continues to be practiced. The Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) implemented a Chemical Waste Management Program (CWMP) in the second semester of 2009. For the success of the program it is important that the entire academic community is engaged in its proposals and objectives. Thus, environmental awareness actions such as lectures, courses and technical monitoring are required to disseminate and consolidate the program. To continue to the proper management of chemical residues at UFLA, it is necessary to establish operational routines of the waste flow from the local laboratories for the Laboratory Chemical Waste Management, as well as a reverse flow. Gather data collections of waste input and output and a proper disposal of these will be fundamental importance to consolidate the Chemical Waste Management Program. So, treat and analyze these results by multivariate analyses allow to program a logistics throughout of their organization and activities with criteria and proposing routine collection and treatment of chemical waste.
