| Abstract | This article discusses economic concepts (games theory and social capital) that can help undestand and manage resources for common use more effectively, as in the case of water and river basin committees. We begin with the assumption that the incorporation of a few analytical instruments of current Social Sciences can allow even readers who do not have close contact with this literature, to realise both the complexity of collective action and the difficulties of management of resources for common use. |
