| Abstract | Laboratory investigation has been carried out on mi xing power consumption and flow regime transition in a fully baffled stirred tank reactor equipped with dual six-blade Rushton turbines by electrical measurement technique. An empirical corr elation has been derived using predicted experimental data, which presents a new relation in estimation of power consumption in stirred tanks with dual Rushton impellers. Results have been comp ared with data available in technical literature. A reasonable agreement between the experimental and t echnical literature results has been observed. |
