| Abstract | The aim of this paper is to identify the profile of scientific methodology of environmental accounting in international accounting journals. We used descriptive research, document and quantitative. We analyzed 35 articles that involved the subject environmental accounting in the period 2000 to 2010 of 17 international accounting journals with higher impact factor.
