Abstract	This study analyzes the environmental licensing process of an enterprise reactivation in Pontal do Parana / PR that operated for some years in the 1980s and remained inactive till then. In 2003, in order to perform new contracts, the company responsible for building offshore platforms, had to reactivate its construction site, being necessary to undertake the environmental licensing process, a procedure that regulates the installation and operation of any enterprise or activity potentially polluter of the environment, which did not exist when the construction site was settled. By analyzing the documentation provided by the environmental agency responsible for the process, it was possible to draw a timeline of the permits issued and to list which documents, studies and programs were required for that. It has been understood that the processes occurred in a fragmented and simplified way, causing them to be treated singly.
