| Abstract | This work presents in details a review about the development of a digital model of three-phase induction motor in phase domain based on EMTP (Electromagnetic Transients Program). Then, with this model, studies and transient analysis directly consider the inductance variations as a function of the rotor position along time. The modelling presented here differs from traditional models that use the Park transformation (dq0) in the machine variables resulting in constant inductances for the calculation of instantaneous values of voltages and currents. The development of this model required the solution of a series of first-order differential equations with time-varying coefficients. The solution method is based on the discretization of differential equations with the use of trapezoidal integration rule. The induction motor equations in the phase domain were implemented in a test program in the MatLab platform and the simulation results were compared with some electromagnetic transients simulation software available on the market (ATP, EMTP-RV and Simulink). Also, it was performed a statistical analysis, hypothesis tests, with the simulation results to conclude if the models are similar to each other. Finally, it is presented the induction machine modelling using the multilevel MATE (Multi-Area Thévenin Equivalent) concept. |
