Abstract	The discovery of the phenomenon of mature nervous system plasticity has become a hope in the process of neurorehabilitation of patients with various brain injuries, including speech therapy in patients with poststroke aphasia. Because an ischemic stroke is currently the most common cause of aphasia in adults, the article is the presentation of potential mechanisms of language skills improvement in the course of a stroke.
