| Abstract | Changes in lifestyle have become a main factors in reduced physical activity of the population, leading to more sedentary lives, and the incidence of chronic noncommunicable diseases (NCD) being the major causes of morbidity and mortalityworld. Health professionals are the best people to influence the behavior of their patients, taking the query as a significant moment for the recommendation of physical activity ahealthy habit or as treatment of disease, to improve the quality of user's life. This study shows how "the new eps" Pereira, medical personnel have an active attitudetowards the promotion and prescription of physical activity during the consultation, the consultation time being, the most important barrier to do so, however, parameters are not clear about the recommendations (international standards) of physical activity for health, in terms of frequency, duration and intensity. |
