| Abstract | The cell formation and production planning are two important steps of CMS design. In this paper, a new mathematical model for integration cell formation and production planning problems is proposed with aim minimizing inter/intra-cell movement, reconfiguration, production planning (inventory holding, backorders, subcontracting) and machine costs in dynamic condition. Since alternatives of production planning unbalance workload across the cells, model considers new restriction for workload balancing. As this problem is NP-hard, a hybrid genetic algorithm with particle swarm optimization based on local best (GA-LPSO) is designed. The proposed algorithm is compared with LINGO 8.0 software in small sized problem and with the standard GA and PSO in all test problems. The computational results show the efficiency of proposed GA-LPSO algorithm. |
