| Abstract | An effective tool that allows manage and improve the service’s quality increasing customer satisfaction is the development of a Quality Management System. This paper presents the process in a maritime company to develop under ISO 9001:08 a QMS. This document has two parts. The first one shows the project’s purpose, explaining in general terms the objectives and methodological frameworks. The second one shows the analyzes the current situation of the sector and the company, the system’s critical elements and the methodology used to establish them, the application of some statistical techniques in process control, the QMS documentation and finally the audit plan and the financial evaluation of the project. |
