Abstract	We combined catalytic gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with an hCG-specific peptide aptamer to create a simple, sensitive, label-free colorimetric assay for hCG. The applications of this colorimetric biosensor may be expanded by changing the peptide aptamer.
