Abstract	The aim of this paper is twofold. On the one hand, it aims to present an overview about the research, theory and philosophy in relation to the boy’s changing voice, with focus on physiological, psychological and instructional aspects. On the other hand, we intend to examine how all this scholarship has enriched the practice of choral singing in the United States and, in parallel, the potential application of this knowledge in Spain. This paper considers the past practice and r e s e a r c h i n t h e fi e l d o f Secondary Education in Spain.
