| Abstract | As the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission came to an end in October 2017 after 15 years of measuring the Earth’s gravity field, its follow-on mission (GRACE-FO) was launched about six months later, in May 2018. The resulting gap between these two missions, which is expected to have a length of about 14 months, is now a significant issue for scientific research concerning high-resolution time-variable gravity fields. |
