| Abstract | Appli ation of hpDGFEM to Me hanisms at Channel Mi roband Ele trodes. Kathryn Harriman, David Gavaghan and Endre S uli We extend our earlier work (Harriman et al., Oxford University Computing Laboratory Te hni al Report NA04/19) on hp-DGFEM for dis ele trodes to the ase of rea tion me hanisms to the in reasingly popular hannel mi roband ele trode on guration. We present results for the simple E rea tion me hanism ( onve tion-di usion equation), for the ECE and EC2E rea tion me hanisms (linear and nonlinear systems of rea tiononve tiondi usion equations, respe tively) and for the DISP1 and DISP2 rea tion me hanisms (linear and nonlinear oupled systems of rea tiononve tiondi usion equations, respe tively). In all ases we demonstrate ex ellent agreement with previous results using relatively oarse meshes and without the need for streamline-di usion stabilisation, even at high ow rates. |
