Abstract	Soybean has had increasing importance in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, and trading companies are undertaking a strategic position within the regional economic scenario. The state has had a significant role in Brazilian agribusiness, especially within the context of grain exported and productivity. The commercialization of soybean exports in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul is investigated through an exploratory and descriptive research, interviews by semi-structured questionnaires and analyses of secondary data. Results show the importance of strategy used by commercial enterprises (focus on the client) for relationships with producers. Price is one of the most crucial factors in business for the agro-industrial and cereal producers, where the variation of a cent defines buying or not.
