| Abstract | Cloud computing gets its name as a metaphor for the Internet. Basically, the Internet is represented in network diagrams as a cloud. And the free floating characteristic of Cloud Computing justifies its name. Cloud computing is fundamentally an Internet-based network made up of large numbers of servers - mostly based on open standards and is modular and inexpensive. Clouds contain huge amount of information and provide a variety of services to large numbers of people. Some of the benefits of cloud computing are Reduced Data Leakage, Decrease evidence Acquisition time, they eliminate or reduce service downtime, there Forensic readiness, they Decrease evidence transfer time and their evidence readiness is a plus. The major factor of discussion is the security of cloud computing, which is a risk factor involved in major computing fields. Cloud computing promises to cut operational and capital costs and, more importantly, let IT departments focus on strategic projects instead of keeping the datacenter running. Adding another feather to its cap is the fact that it is a GREEN technology. |
