Abstract	Technological advances that made their faint appearance in the last decades of the twentieth century, and that continue to be refined throughout this century, have been accompanied by a new theoretical corpus and a new way of seeing the teaching profession. Concepts such as information and knowledge society, knowledge economy and human capital, have become part of educational research and in the professional practice. In this sense, music education has seen changes in the way to understanding her learning/teaching process to adapt to knowledge society.
