Pandanus conoideus ( Red fruit ) is a traditional herbal medicine that consists of elements which can stimulate the human immune system by increasing the activities of T helper lymphocyte to eliminate the parasitizied erythrocyte. This experiment was meant to know the effect of Pandanus conoideus on the parasitemia degree of Plasmodium berghei ANKA infected Swiss mice. Method : The design of this study was an experimental study using The Post Test Only Control Group Design. This study used 14 healthy female mice, ages between 8 – 12 weeks, weight between 25 – 30 gram. The mice were divided randomly into 2 groups, 1st Group I ( Control group ) and 2nd Group ( Treated group ) which were given 0,05 cc of Pandanus conoideus oil orally every day for 6 days. Both of groups were infected through intraperitoneal injection with mice blood which contained Plasmodium berghei 1 x 104 parasite for 0,01cc. After injection, the numbers of parasitemia degree were thicked using thin blood smear analysis Result : The parasitemia degree on the treated group was less than the control group on the 1st day, 3rd day and 5th day. The mean difference on the 1st day p=0,001, 3rd day p=0.000, and at the 5th day p= 0,001. Conclusion : Infusion of Pandanus conoideus can significantly reduce the parasitemia degree of Plasmodium berghei ANKA infected Swiss mice.
