| Abstract | espanolLa liberalizacion de los mercados en los ochenta y la falta de un apoyo estatal para la reconversion de la industria del calzado provocaron que esta disenara una estrategia de supervivencia a traves del recurso al Fondo de Garantia Salarial (Fogasa). La principal funcion del Fogasa es garantizar los creditos laborales de los trabajadores ante la insolvencia empresarial pero, en el caso alicantino, la garantia salarial ha permitido la reestructuracion del sector del calzado. El coste del despido lo asumia el Fogasa permitiendo asi, el mantenimiento de la competitividad internacional. EnglishThe freedom markets since eighty decade and the absence of specific statal help for the reconvertion of footwear industry incite that it designed a strategy of survival using the Spanish wage insurance (Fogasa). The principal funtion of Fogasa is warrant the worker´s labour credits oposit to insolvency of the companies but, in Alicante, the guarantee wage has permitted the restructuration of footwear industry ,The Fogasa paid the dismiss´s cost permiting keep the international competitivity. |
