| Abstract | Geometrical difficulties shown by students in compulsory education and teacher education are a permanent feature. We present here the general characterization of Peruvian student teachers� geometrical content knowledge related to polygons, based on the Van Hiele model of reasoning and considering the promotion and development of capacities and skills in any teaching-learning process. The analysis of two cases and the characterization of their content knowledge and their abilities and skills in relation to polygons are added. |
