| Abstract | One of the problems in the production and storageof agricultural products is contamination by mycotoxins,especially Ochratoxin A (OTA) produced by species ofAspergillus and Penicillium, which can contaminate cropssuch as: cereals, coffee, beer, wine, cocoa, nuts andothers, considered by FAO one of the most importantsources of pollution.The main objective of this study was to determinethe contamination with OTA in the primary production ofnuts and almonds in order to establish the traceabilityof the contamination using the High Performance LiquidChromatography with fluorescence detection method(HPLC-FL). The extraction solution was acetonitrile:water: acetic acid (50: 50: 1) v / v, validation of the methodwas based on criteria of ISO IEC 17025: 2005. Thenthe supernatant was filtered, dried and reconstituted tobe analyzed. The results presented correspond to thesamples of almonds and nuts in which it was analyzed (seed, peel and shag) that were found below the limitof detection (BLD) required by international legislation,that is, no chromatographic peak was evidenced in thecorresponding retention time for OTA. |
