Roteiro geológico na planície costeira de Santa Catarina, Brasil

Abstract	This itinerary outlines the geological and geomorphologic features of 36 points observed in the coastal plain of Santa Catarina over six days of fieldwork with approximately 800km route, considering 19 coastal municipalities of Santa Catarina. In each geological station was completed a spreadsheet consisting of geographical geological, geomorphologic, sedimentologic and environmental information, complemented by the sampling of sediments and rocks and photographic record, constituting a database of 845 images of field. The coastal plain of Santa Catarina, emerged sector of Pelotas and Santos basins, consists of the basement and sediments representing the Quaternary deposits of continental, transitional and anthropogenic depositional systems. Considering the basement was visited five outcrops of the lithostratigraphy units Granulitic Complex of Santa Catarina, Brusque Complex, Pedras Grandes Granitoid, Rhyolite Cambirela, Botucatu Formation and Serra Geral Formation. The four outcrops visited of the continental depositional system were colluvial Deposit, alluvial fan Deposit and alluvial Deposit. With respect to the transitional depositional system were visited 25 outcrops of geological units eolic Deposit, chenier Deposit, beach Deposit (marine, estuarine, lagoon and bay), estuarine Deposit, bay Deposit, lagoon Deposit, paludial Deposit and intralagoon deltaic Deposit. Considering the anthropogenic depositional system two outcrops were visited the geological units sambaqui (shell midden) Deposit and tecnogenic Deposit. The geological units exhibit distinct geomorphologic features as well as lithologies and textures, according to the geological environment of formation. The age of the units varies from the Archean to the Anthropocene. Key-words: Quaternary, coastal plain, Santa Catarina.
