| Abstract | CUSTON INSOLE LÀTEX-BASED (HEVEA BRASILIENSIS) IN THE PREVENTION OF DIABETIC FOOT ULCERS IN THE CONTEXT OF ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY Author: LEANDRA BATISTA FERREIRA Supervisor: Profa. Dra. Suélia de Siqueira Rodrigues Fleury Rosa Post-Graduation Program in Biomedical Engineering Brası́lia, May 2016. (DM) is a chronic disease of high morbidity and mortality. A complication associated severe is called diabetic foot, with devastating consequences resulting from ulcers that can result in amputation of limbs. The Assistive Technology (AT) helps with the treatment of DM. Aim: Objective: to test a latex based insole produced individually using mathematical models collected from observed data, to help in the prevention of ulcers in the so-called diabetic foot. Materials and methods: Diabetic tested Pedographic Analysis with Platform equipment Emed to n50 Novel and Emed to HMFT software (2013 NOVEL) and force sensors FlexiForce ®, model HT201 (Tekscan). Results: it was observed the variation of strength at specific points in the plantar region. The linear models failed to capture arbitrary differences between levels of input and output signal. In addition, the signal with validation date Remained Within the region deemed acceptable, showing that the proposed mathematical model, based on the hypothesis of this study, Has Been consistent. The study allowed the perception of important aspects in the methods of data capture of last of the diabetic foot, as well as perform tests at different times and filter system motion artifacts in an outdoor environment. Conclusion: This custom insole biomaterial with sensors attached, was able to identify information of force resulting in the region plant in diabetic foot and can Contribute in the process of creating future insoles, inserted into the concept of AT, using organic controllers as a parameter to be Considered to Obtain mathematical working models directly in the dynamics of human gait. Key-words: Diabetes mellitus, Biomaterial insole, Diabetic foot, Assistive technology, mathematical modeling. |
