| Abstract | The list of Argentine journalists is outstanding, both in the quality of its works and in their collective achievement of a distinctive style. This study has the ambition of focusing on nonfiction stories that describe the territorial diversity of Buenos Aires. These portraits reveal a common interest in that city and its metropolitan area, stressing its outstanding, common, marginal and special features. This great metropolitan area forces the writer to divide the territories in parts; to focus on isolated experiences, to make specific interventions in the urban space with a mixed and complex rhetoric and narratology. This study goes into detailed analysis of Si me queres quereme transa by Cristian Alarcon (2010); Los otros by Josefina Licitra (2011), Sangre joven. Matar y morir en la adultez by Javier Sinay (2009) and Sangre Salada (2011) by Sebastian Hacher. |
