Abstract	it presents bibliometric research that identifies articles of periodic of authorship of Brazilian researchers published in foreigner’s periodic indexed in international databases in the thematic categor y Information Science of 1970 up to 2006. It evidences low t he international insertion of the Brazilian researc h in Information Science. It concludes that it is possible to reach the international visibility through the str a egic vision when submitting articles for publication and of the overcoming of the linguistic barrier.
