Abstract	At the present chapter we make a historical revision on the different visions that from the investigation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the web based learning has been carried out, present variables and more significant results investigated. Also, we establish an analysis about the different outlined study objects, the different methodologies used for the development of the same ones, etc., that helps us to identify the different limitations and opposing necessities to outline, in the last part of the chapter, a prospective about the different focuses toward those that should be guided the research in ICT, reaching some of the following conclusions: research that is not centered only in comparative models, to contemplate problems and practical perspectives for the educational improvement, to analyze incorporation problems from a systemic optics, among others.
