| Abstract | The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a consistent language for specifying, visualizing, constructing, and documenting software systems as well as business systems modeling. The UML defines numerous diagrams and their meanings, however, it does not define procedures used for developing software, sequence of using diagrams, tasks allocation or similar. This paper aims to present the UML Version 1.5 diagrams, which, using the OO concepts, illustrate a part or an aspect of the system at a given level of abstraction according to the respective logical view of the system description. A set of most appropriate diagrams for modeling information systems is proposed, which would contribute making information system design less complex and better documented. Furthermore, a proposal for life cycle stages in IS development through using UML diagrams, that is, possible proposal for methodics of IS development by using UML diagrams will be presented. |
